The #1 thing that gave me the winning edge in field hockey

At some stage, pretty much every sports kid dreams of playing their for their country, it’s the honour and the pride of reaching the highest level… but a lot of people fall short of this and it’s not necessarily because they aren’t good enough!

I have experienced this first hand when I was a teenager, missing out on national selection but I have come to realise that it wasn’t because I wasn’t good enough…

Most field hockey players have the potential to reach higher levels than where they are at (even if it’s just to play in a higher team). But like myself previously, I believe that there’s something that gets in most peoples way, stopping them from reaching levels they didn’t even realise they could achieve.

What is it that separates the average hockey player from those who do go on to reach their potential?

Watch the video below to find out what helped me to improve my game and what gave me the winning edge in field hockey which resulted in becoming an international player (achieving what I never thought I would):

Feel like you’re not moving forward or not where you want to be?
